A little touch on history – 31st August (Malaysia’s Independent Day)

Yesterday (31st August) was Malaysia’s Independent Day, as they celebrated it.

But some don’t agree. 31st August is Peninsular Malaysia’s Independent Day, not the whole Malaysia. Malaysia is a combination of Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo (Sabah and Sarawak), which was formed on 16th September 1963.

So, is it wrong not to celebrate the 31st August?

I think it’s time for Malaysians to get the fact right … and it’ll be helpful if the gov (and media) do something about it …
