The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I am a bit disappointed because it wasn’t what I’ve expected. I thought that it must be better than the first one. But it wasn’t. And the actors were quite unconvincing too. But I applaud the special effect because it’s the only thing I am pleased to see. I think the special effect saved this movie a lot …

And I was reminded of a few actions from other films such as Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. And Forbidden Kingdom too. There was a scene where all the four ‘kings’ and ‘queens’ of Narnia transported from their modern world to the world of Narnia, via an old subway. Very much of Harry Potter. The creatures? The flying eagle-like creature, is it from the Lord of the Rings? And the big water-monster too? LOTR? The moving tress? LOTR again? How about the final scene where Aslan made this magic tree opened up and produced a gate for the people to transfer to other world? This scene reminded me of Forbidden Kingdom when Jason Tripitikas transported back to his modern world.
